Dramatic readings - Comedy

Dramatic readings - Comedy Diseño: Garp Studio

Celebrate the art of theatre with us! This coming March 27th marks the International Theatre Day, and the Cervantes Dublin Theatre Club is getting a head start by inviting you to a unique and entertaining evening, showcasing their passion and skills on stage.

The members of the club will present dramatized readings of scenes by author Karl Valentin (1882-1948), precursor of 20th-century avant-garde theatre and part of what is known as the variety show.

Under the direction of Sandra Villegas, the scenes aim to be absurd, and the characters will get tangled up trying to communicate. The ironies and double meanings of words will bring the audience closer to the humorous theatre of this performance, which will mark the end of the Comedy Workshop and pay tribute to the power and magic of theater. Be ready for an afternoon filled with laughter!
