Live Comics Reading with Stray Lines

The Irish comics collective Stray Lines and Instituto Cervantes Dublin invites you to a live reading of short comics by seven of the most promising indie comics makers from Ireland and beyond.

This immersive storytelling event combines music, sound design, projected illustration and live performance in what feels like a cross between theatre and animation. As well as contributions from the authors, we will wrap up the evening with some audience participation, where the attendees, alongside the illustrators, will create a story live. Featuring the participation of Sarah Bowie (IE), Alan Dunne (IE), Debbie Jenkinson (IE), Elida Maiques (ES), Alé Mercado (ES), Fintan Taite (IE) and Emy Peyret (FR), this is an unmissable event.

Stray Lines is a collective of comics artists dedicated to incubating and promoting innovative approaches to comics in Ireland. We love comics and narrative illustrations that are personal, unique, and unafraid to be different. We aim to encourage, stimulate and develop this vibrant and creative approach to comics locally and to represent in the global comics community.
