Las credenciales
Manuel Ferrari
There are several possible journeys from point A to point B; this one, in particular, seems to begin in the Tigre Delta in Buenos Aires. After moving through almost every possible mode of transport, it arrives at the Berlin Film Festival to deliver a sharp commentary on class, mobility, and representation.
Synopsis: Las credenciales (The credentials) narrates the journey of Juan—who could just as easily be Pedro or Maria—a man who lives and works on the river. Juan moves through various means of transport that take him to the airport. After his flight, he is dubiously accepted by European immigration authorities. Juan meets Johannes—who could be Claus or Franz—who lives and works in Germany, and whose life does not seem very different from Juan's, yet at the same time, it is.
