A reconstruction of crucial historical moments in the long struggle of the indigenous movements of Bolivia as they seek to regain the sovereignty lost to Spain and the republican elites. It brings into focus the often forgotten battles of a series of indigenous heroes, culminating in the ascent of Bolivia’s first indigenous President Evo Morales Ayma.
