Festival de Cine Iberoamericano de Irlanda (FICII)
This first edition of the festival, directed by Teresa Laviña, will feature eleven screenings of Ibero-American films, including the Spanish films Soy Nevenka by Icíar Bollaín, Rita by Paz Vega, and the short film Azkena by Lorea Lyons, at the Irish Film Institut.
Join us at the Instituto Cervantes Dublin, for the roundtable Narrating to Transform: The Power of Cinema Against Gender-Based Abuse. We will reflect on the role of cinema in denouncing and raising awareness of gender-based violence. Joined by Icíar Bollaín, Nevenka Fernández, and Lorea Lyons, we will explore how cinema can be a tool for social transformation, giving a voice to those who have been silenced and raising awareness within society.
