Flamenco dance demonstration

Flamenco dance demonstration © Paula García

Recognised by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2010, flamenco represents an authentic and profound experience. The Instituto Cervantes invites you to participate in a flamenco demonstration with Sandra Palomar, a teacher and professional bailaora, who will showcase this dance whose rhythms, gestures, and notes continue to inspire today. Through its music and dance, flamenco tells stories of passion, resilience, and heritage, bridging generations and celebrating the power of community. This demonstration will include a brief introduction to the historical and cultural context of this dance, all within a relaxed and playful atmosphere where you can discover the benefits of dance as a healthy practice.

Sandra Palomar, a professional dancer from Motril, Granada, has a solid career in flamenco. A regular teacher at the Cervantes Institute in Dublin, she holds a degree in Sports Science and is also a certified Yoga and Pilates instructor.
