Luckily, books and illustrations would accompany us since childhood. Letters and drawings establish an enriching dialogue, from illustrated novels to cartoons or newspapers.
The Instituto Cervantes Dublin, in collaboration with the Cork World Book Fest, invites you to a funny and instructive session with Spanish cartoonist José María Gallego, who will deliver a workshop for YA and adults on characters and caricature drawing.
José María Gallego is one of the great Spanish cartoonists of today. Together with Julio Rey, he has published daily strips in the press for almost forty years, for which they have been awarded outstanding prizes in the journalistic and graphic humour sectors. Since 2010, he has also dedicated himself to illustrating books where he can express himself in a more artistic way.
