Constellation of care John Roden

Where does poetry come from? And narrative fiction? Our guests at this round table will discuss the motivation behind their writings, and the presence of nature and landscape (forest, desert, sea) in their works. They will reflect, too, on the complexity of human relationships and nature, and how to care for them in this changing world.

Artist's short biographies

Moya Cannon is an Irish poet and member of the Irish association of artists Aosdána with a large profesional career. Her first book, Oar, was published in 1990. She published Collected Poems in 2021.

Sergio Missana is author of novels, essays and chidlren’s books. He is Professor of Latin American Literature and Executive Director of the NGO Climate Parliament. His novel The Transentients (trad. Jessica Powell) is published in English.

Jordi Soler is a Mexican author of then novels, translated into several languages. He has published books of short stories, essays and poetry, and also writes articles for newspapers and magazines. He was a diplomat in Ireland and currently lives in Barcelona. His last published book is Los hijos del volcán.

Catherine Dunne is the author of ten published novels, and one non-fiction work, An Unconsidered People. She has also contributed essays to several anthologies, including Reading the Future and Look! It’s a Woman Writer! Her work has been translated into a dozen languages.
