Cervantes Dublin Theatre Club: The Classics (Greece)
During this new season of the drama club, the members will have the opportunity to learn the origin of the Greek theater and its genres, as well as the stage space, costumes and masks. The director, Sandra Villegas, will suggest the reading of adaptations and translations of Greek works by Spanish and Hispanic authors. The workshop will focus on the Greek choir: how it was composed, what was its participation and where it was located.
The choir is a fundamental element in the Greek theater, which is necessary to work in a group. The members of the club will practice improvisations to understand how the Greek theater worked, what was its function and they will be able to feel like members of a Greek choir.
