Campeones - ALCE Cultural Week
Synopsis: Marcos is an assistant coach in Spain´s top basketball league. One day, he gets involved in a traffic accident that lands him in court. He loses his job and his girlfriend, and is sentenced to the worst possible punishment for his ego: coaching a group of intellectually disabled players that have never touched a ball before.
Director’s Bio: Javier Fesser is a Spanish film director and screenwriter. He is know for this films Camino, Mortadelo y Filemón contra Jimmy el Cachondo, and the short film Binta and the Great Idea, nominated to the Oscar Awards. Fesser is a multiple Goya Award winner – including the Best Film for Campeones.
