Flamenco Dance for Children: Alegrías & Sevillanas

Encourage your children to discover the fascinating world of flamenco, a fundamental artistic expression of Spanish culture. This workshop is designed to introduce children to flamenco in a fun, creative, and accessible way through movement, music, and play.

Our classes offer much more than learning dance steps. Flamenco helps develop coordination, sense of rhythm, memory, and body expression, while also fostering creativity, confidence, and teamwork. In a positive and motivating environment, children learn to express themselves, respect their peers, and enjoy movement, strengthening their self-esteem and sense of belonging.

The workshop will focus on Alegrías and Sevillanas, lively and dynamic styles that are ideal for beginners. Alegrías, originating from Cádiz, convey energy and joy, with graceful movements, turns, and expressive use of the arms and hands. Sevillanas, in turn, provide a clear structure that helps develop coordination, memory, and sense of rhythm in an accessible and enjoyable way.

How our classes are structured
Each session is designed for a complete immersion:
  • Warm-up: Mobility and rhythmic introduction.
  • Theory and context: A brief history of flamenco and its role in Spanish culture, with a focus on the style or step of the day.
  • Choreographic structure: They will learn steps with clear objectives, progressing gradually.
  • Cool-down and expression: Body expression exercises and gentle stretches.
Some classes will include improvisation circles to stimulate creativity and playful group interaction. Invite your children to discover the joy of flamenco through movement and music.Final del formulario.
