Wrinkles

The Old age topic has not been dealt with to a great extent in cinema or Literature. Wrinkles is an animation directed by Ignacio Ferreras and based on the comic by Paco Roca (2008 National Comic Award) that deals with the subject with a touch of humor and drama.

Wrinkles tells Emilio and Miguel´s story, two elderly gentlemen who live in an old people´s home. Emilio has just arrived at the home with signs of the very early stages of Alzheimer. Miguel and other residents will help Emilio so that he does not end up at the top floor of the home, where residents are totally dependent.

The film has received the following awards: Best Animated Film and Best Screenplay - Adapted at the 2012 Goya Awards. Best Animation Film at the Ottawa International Animation Festival.
