Rooting the Zone, a guided walking tour (2)

Rooting the Zone, a guided walking tour (2) María del Buey

The Zone is an audiovisual project closely related with digital and real spaces. In this guided walk, artist María del Buey will conduct a visit through the Zone, a virtual, speculative space whose accesses can be found within some elements of the Dublin Grand Canal Dock. Through a collective stroll across some key features of the global Dublin - that include headquarters of big data and digital companies, smart littering points, or buried fibre optic cable systems – this tour will explore the Zone as a place from where to experiment and imagine with different modes of spatial occupation.

This will be the second visit of two that will cover the distance from the Grand Canal Dock area to the Instituto Cervantes Dublin.
Meeting point at Red Sticks, Grand Canal Dock. Finish point at Instituto Cervantes (Lincoln Place).

Acces to The Zone can be gained through QR codes located in different point of Dublin city as shown in the map displayed at the Instituto Cervantes’s ground floor windows, from September 16th to October 23rd.

Part of European Culture Trail, an initiative by EUNIC Ireland (European Union National Institutes for Culture) in cooperation with the European Commission Representation in Ireland for Culture Night.
