Chess for children (+7)

Chess for children (+7) desconocido

Chess has become more present in school activities.

In these three intro sessions, children will be able to get familiar with the 64 square game while they practise their Spanish, guided by Carlos López, chess player and experienced teacher of chess at schools, who has worked in the Chess Programme coordinated by the Aragón’s Government.

Experts confirm chess helps to develop the reasoning, calculus and analysis skills, and also help improving attention, concentration and memory. Also, it teaches values such as patience, effort, good sport, empathy and humbleness.

Children will start learning the basic game’s rules divided into groups of other children with similar abilities and by the end of the workshop will be able to play their first game with and against the instructor. All sessions will include attention and problem solving exercises.
