Una corriente salvaje (A Wild Trend)

Una corriente salvaje (A Wild Trend) Tatiana Graullera

The third feature film by Nuria Ibáñez Castañeda follows in the wake of her two previous works - La cuerda floja (The Tightrope) (2009) and El cuarto vacío (The Empty Room) (2013) - in which her approach to fascinating and distant characters takes us into their lives, no less interesting and overwhelmingly unknown. In this new documentary, the lives of two Mexican fishermen, Omar and Chilo, are portrayed. Neighbours in a distant and apparently unpopulated place on the Pacific coast, we will see their daily life described in their fishing chores, but we also get closer to their way of understanding that loneliness, that their coexistence compensates with a very unique friendship.
