Nancy Morejón (Havana, 1944). Poet, essayist, translator. National Prize for Literature (2001), Member of the Jury of the Caribbean Carbet Prize since 1990, full member of the Cuban Academy of Language since 1999 and member of the OWWA Advisory Council. Among the most significant awards received are the Distinction for National Culture, the photo of Máximo Gómez's Machete (2003), the Golden Crown of Macedonia (2006), the LASA 2012 Award and the status of AHS Youth Teacher. (2013). Honorary Member (Honorary Fellow) of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese, AATSP. Among his latest publications are the anthologies Funda de bambula (Ecuador, 2019); Before a Mirror, the City (New York, 2020), Madrigal for a black prince: bilingual edition, (Casa de las Américas, Havana, 2021). The Huerga & Fierro publishing house, from Madrid, in the fall of 2022, included the anthology The Common Hours in its catalog.

In 2021, he received the Alejo Carpentier Medal. She currently works as director of Unión magazine, of UNEAC, and advisor to Casa de las Américas.
