The White Night of Science celebrates its second edition with the purpose of bringing scientific knowledge closer to Spanish-speaking audiences of all ages, fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and active engagement. Through outreach activities and interactive workshops, this initiative seeks to present science in its many forms in a comprehensible and engaging manner.
Experts in fields such as renewable energies, pharmacology, artificial intelligence and virology, genetics, mycology, atmospheric sciences, mineralogy, food technology, and the prevention of zoonotic diseases, among others, will participate. Each presentation has been carefully designed to facilitate the understanding of complex concepts through accessible and participatory experiences.
This year’s edition benefits from the collaboration of Dr. Diego Blázquez, Education Attaché of the Spanish Education Office in New York, who, together with education advisors in Chicago, will establish connections with bilingual schools interested in taking part. Furthermore, the Public Education and Outreach Commission of ECUSA, in partnership with its Midwest Chapter, will be responsible for the design and development of the workshops to be hosted at the Instituto Cervantes gallery.
The White Night of Science extends an invitation to discover, exchange, and share knowledge from an approachable yet stimulating perspective. It is a day conceived to inspire learning, imagination, and meaningful engagement with the world of science in the Spanish language.
