Mostra XV Brazilian Film Festival 2024

Mostra XV Brazilian Film Festival is the most important Brazilian film festival in the Midwest of the USA, presented by the non-profit organization Illinois Sao Paulo Chapter of Partners of the Americas. The festival will be held November 2 - 16, with the Annual Opening Gala of the event on November 2nd at the Instituto Cervantes of Chicago.

 The festival is presented in Chicago, IL and several other cities of the Midwest of the United States.

MOSTRA has as its theme to present "Brazilian Films with Social Conscience" and it takes place in educational and cultural institutions to inspire the dialog about social themes among the academic community, filmmakers, students, and the general public.

A preview of the Festival will be held on Friday, July 26 at 5:30 pm at the Instituto Cervantes in Chicago, with the presentation of the film, "Kobra ", winner of the 2023 MOSTRA XIV Festival Trophy.

MOSTRA is carried out in collaboration with prominent educational and cultural organizations to promote dialogue on current and relevant social issues affecting society's development. This festival attracts the academic community, filmmakers, students, and enthusiasts of international cinema and culture, aiming to promote knowledge and mutual understanding in an enriching environment of cultural exchange and reflection.
