A voice and a guitar... Perhaps the most common musical combination in the world.
However, in the realm of "concert hall music" the combination has not been common of late. 

By the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, the guitar (and its relatives the lute and vihuela)    lost its position as the favored instrument to accompany singers, and composers of "lieder" were writing mostly for voice and piano.  In the second half of the 20th century, classical guitar began a return to popularity and composers of concert hall music again used it for accompaniment to their songs.  It is this vast repertoire that soprano Gabriela Sevilla and guitarist Alejandro Mora have been exploring exploring since 1992.  They perform music from the 16th century to the present, with an emphasis on Latin American pieces.
