Designers with character
Displays a centered graphical representation of the language and the types from a new vision made by designers. Graphic designers organized by Instituto Cervantes, show to the international public the tremendous vitality of the multiple forms of expression and representation that takes our language in their “physical/active” writing, thus exposing the creativity and talent of a broad representation of graphic designers. Typography is a graphic representation of language. Each typeface has its own roots, subtleties and history and also gives objects their own voice that we can identify: it can warn us of danger, urge us to buy, show us seriousness or flippancy, establish information’s order of importance, make us laugh. It visually interprets verbal communication. Designers with Character aims to show, via some of the best studios, that this conversation is especially alive in contemporary Spanish graphic design. Opening reception: Thursday, November 16, 6 pm. Free and open to the public but reservations are required. RSVP at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/3042352 Space is limited so please save your spot early! All tickets will be held at the door. Suggested dress code: cocktail chic, artsy casul or business attire. The exhibition will run until January 20,2018. Don't miss it!
