CUACO

Written and directed by the Pilsen-based theatre troupe Colectivo El Pozo, filmed in Chicago, Texas and Mexico and incorporating their full production of Raúl Dorantes’ play “On the Way to Now” staged in 2010, “Cuaco” tells the story of Horacio, a Mexican immigrant who decides to return home through the same route he took to cross the border three decades ago. Pursued by the FBI for counterfeiting documents, he runs into different versions of his younger self as well as individuals impacted by his actions.
