Its diversity, its aesthetic quality, its growth and its generational polyphony are a breath of fresh air for the culture of the planet. Hence, Benengeli 2022. The International Week of Spanish Literature was born with the intention to travel the world. From the 6th of June to the 10th of June, the five continents will be inhabited by imagination, reflection, and the sinuosities of a writing that will show some of its most outstanding voices thanks to the network work of the Instituto Cervantes in Sydney , New Delhi , Toulouse , Dakar and Chicago. Spanish, but also in English and French, this Benengeli 2022 will elaborate a joint reflection on the predominance of realism as preponderant aesthetics of the 21st century . Thus, we can contemplate the identification of many authors with this aesthetic that aims to reflect the world from its most daily and recognizable signals, but also the nuances, the deviations, the rejections generated by this way of facing fictional reinvention. Voices of Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Chile, Costa Rica, Cuba, El Salvador, Spain, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico Uruguay and Venezuela (with special guests from Australia, India, France, Senegal and the United States ) build a possible photo of the current literary moment and the infinite wealth it has within the framework of the Spanish language.
