A silent bleat

A silent bleat SERGIO ARILLA, MARTÍN ESPINOSA Y FABIO MARTÍN

The inhabitants of the village of Tiermas had to leave their home. When they returned, life no longer existed, but in the windows and on the walls, they could still hear the dawns of days gone by.

About the directors:
SERGIO ARILLA
I’m a sound designer and audiovisual artist, born in Pamplona and currently based in Madrid. After finishing high school, I moved to Madrid to study at a film school. Among all artistic mediums, sound in film is the one I connect with the most and continue to explore deeply
“Balar en silencio” (2025) is my first short film as a co-creator. Together with my two collaborators, we were able to beautifully translate the themes of loss and nostalgia felt by an entire town into the audiovisual language.

MARTÍN ESPINOSA
I'm an audiovisual artist from Lima, currently based in Madrid. I'm passionate about exploring the fusion of different cinematic disciplines, creating experiences that go beyond the visual and the narrative. My work aims to connect emotions and tell stories through various forms of expression. I'm always in search of new inspirations and creative collaborations.

FABIO MARTÍN
I was born in Madrid and, after finishing high school, I decided to take my passion for cinema to the next level by enrolling in a film school, where I’m currently training as a sound professional.

Little by little, the effort is paying off — but none of this would be possible without the amazing people I’ve met along the way. Together, we’re creating beautiful and professional work, among which I’d highlight Balar en Silencio (2025), my most important project so far, where I was in charge of location sound and sound design. Today, I’m certain I want to dedicate my life to creating through sound.
