Esperanza Gama

Elizabeth Narváez-Luna holds a Bachelor's degree in Spanish Literature from the University of Guanajuato, a Master's in Hispanic Literature from the University of Notre Dame (Indiana), and a Doctorate from the University of Urbana-Champaign (Illinois). Her thesis focused on recovering and reconstructing the tradition of poetry written by women in Mexico during the 19th century.

Her poetry has been published in "Poetas de Tierra Adentro" (Fondo Editorial Tierra Adentro), "Tesituras" (Ediciones Universidad de Guanajuato), and "Las Avenidas del Cielo" (Co-edition UG / UAA). She recently published her poetry collection, "En víspera del vuelo," which brings together a large part of her work and which she is presenting at the Cervantes Institute. Elizabeth lives in Chicago and is involved in the cultural life and poetry workshop projects of Contratiempo and Caracoleando.
