Archaeology while wandering. Let's travel with Jordi Serrallonga

Archaeology while wandering. Let's travel with Jordi Serrallonga Luis Caballero

Our travel cycle is entering an area that has not been explored before: archaeology.

Born in Barcelona in 1969, Jordi Serrallonga defines himself as a nomadic primate, in constant search of the past, domesticated by culture. He is an archaeologist, naturalist and explorer, trained at the University of Barcelona with postgraduate studies in France and Italy. He is a professor of Prehistory and Human Evolution at the Open University of Catalonia, as well as a lecturer in several master courses and collaborator of the Museum of Natural Sciences of Barcelona.

He is also the co-director, along with Gabi Martínez, of the "Invisible Animals" project and the author of several articles and books on travel literature, including: Dioses con pies de barro (Crítica), Animales Invisibles. Mito, vida y extinción (Nørdica Libros/Capitán Swing) and Un arqueólogo nómada en busca del Dr. Jones (Desperta Ferro).

In this series of "Let's travel together" we will follow Jordi on his archaeological, primatological and anthropological expeditions in Africa, America, Asia and Oceania.

The professor and journalist Fernando Castiñeiras will coordinate the interviews.

Don’t miss it!
