Juan Ramón Sobero is a Spanish chef with a history linked to the city of Valence and the Mediterranean. Sobero was trained in the Valence Hostelry School, and after having short stays in different renowned restaurants in Valence such as Alejandro del Toro (1 Michelin Star 2003), Riff Restaurant (1 Michelin Star), Juan Ramón moved to Mexico City and started working at J by José Andrés (Hotel W Mexico) where he succeeded to identity his passion of transporting the Spanish gastronomy around the world. Afterwards, he became in charge of the Quisitapas Kitchen (Westin Excelsior Florence, Italy) until he came to the Middle East where he opened the world's first La Liga Lounge Restaurant (Sheraton Gran Doha). Juan Ramón Sobero is considered an excellent ambassador of the Spanish gastronomy worldwide.
He is currently in charge of the Mercado Andaluz kitchen at the St. Regis Amman Hotel, the first authentic Spanish restaurant in the city.
