Let's read at home!

Instituto Cervantes de Amman is organizing a Virtual Reading Club targeted to students, library users, and friends of culture, literature, and the Spanish language in general.

The Club aims to promote the encounter of readers where they can hold conversations in Spanish once having read different literary texts from Spain and Latin America.

Participants will read stories, poems, novel chapters, plays, different texts on each occasion, and they will meet once a month to freely discuss, analyse them and add their comments. The first virtual meetings will be dedicated to: Gabriel García Márquez Love in the time of cholera, Ernesto Sábato The tunnel and Carmen Martín Gaite Variable cloudiness. The meetings will be held the first Wednesday of each month and will be conducted by Juan Vicente Piqueras, poet and director of the Instituto Cervantes in Amman.
