European Film Festival: “Las niñas”
The Spanish Embassy and the Instituto Cervantes in Amman participate in the 35th edition of the European Film Festival organized by the European Union Delegation and EUNIC-Jordan, with the screening of “Las niñas” (The Girls) by Pilar Palomero. Synopsis: Year 1992. Celia, an 11-year-old girl, lives with her mom and studies in a school run by nuns in Zaragoza. Brisa, a new colleague who just arrived from Barcelona, pushes her to a new stage in her life: adolescence. In this trip, set in Spain during the Expo and the Olympics of ’92, Celia finds out that her life is made of a lot of truths and some lies.
