Talk with Carmen Yáñez (Tribute to Luis Sepúlveda) Daniel Mordzinski

One year after the death of Chilean writer Luis Sepúlveda, Instituto Cervantes is holding an online talk with his partner, wife and love of his life, Chilean famous poet Carmen Yáñez, who will be telling memories and anecdotes of a lifetime (the love story between Lucho and Pelusa is a story worthy of Lucho's best novels), will recite some of her poems, and will hold a colloquium with the participants.

Luis Sepúlveda (October 4, 1949 – April 16, 2020) was a Chilean writer and journalist. Sepúlveda was author of poetry books and short stories; in addition to Spanish, his mother tongue, he also spoke English, French and Italian. In the late 1980s, he conquered the literary scene with his first novel, The Old Man Who Read Love Novels.

Juan Vicente Piqueras, poet and director of the centre, will moderate the meeting, present and interview the guest and will moderate a discussion with the participants who will have previously read some of the authors’ poems and texts.
