The humor in literature

Ignacio Vidal-Folch Balanzó (Barcelona, 1956), began his career as a writer of comics collaborating in various comic magazines. His first books, of markedly satirical character, were published in the middle of the eighties. During that period, Vidal-Folch was especially active as a journalist. Since 1995 he has been an independent and sporadic newspaper collaborator, especially in the newspaper El País and the weekly newspaper Tiempo.  

His latest novels, without renouncing the vein of humor, are inscribed in the realistic tradition and address significant conflicts of the present time in different countries. He was also screenwriter and presenter of the literary program Nostromo, broadcasted by TVE between 2010 and July 2012.
