Ciclo de encuentros: Viajemos juntos
The Instituto Cervantes in Amman is launching a new virtual series of encounters with Hispanic travelers, held via the Zoom platform. This open space invites travelers, adventurers, and anyone interested in discovering new cultures, traditions, and languages. The initiative seeks to highlight for students the cultural richness and diverse varieties of the Spanish language through travel related themes. It also aims to create an audiovisual documentary archive to serve as teaching material for educators across the global Cervantes Institute network, while offering an academic outreach activity relevant to both cultural and academic spheres. Five sessions are scheduled for 2026: • Héctor Souto, head coach of Indonesia’s national futsal team — February • Cristina Olea, RTVE correspondent in Washington — April • Santiago Sánchez, long distance traveler who journeyed on foot from Spain to Iran — June • Gervasio Sánchez, journalist, war correspondent, and Spanish photographer — October • Xurxo Ayán, archaeologist — December Don’t miss the conversations with this year’s guest speakers in the sixth edition of the series. The program is coordinated by journalist Fernando Castiñeiras.
