As part of the Comic Week in Jordan organized by EUNIC-Jordan and the Delegation of the European Union, the Spanish illustrator, author and comic critic, Ángel de la Calle will present and open the exhibition Intermittent Images.
Ángel de la Calle Hernández (Molinillo de la Sierra, Salamanca, 1958) is a Spanish illustrator, author, and comic critic. He has been making comics professionally since 1979. He has collaborated with publications such as Zona 84, El Víbora, Comic Internacional, Rambla and Heavy Metal.
In 2003 he published Modotti, a woman from the XX century, pioneer work in the Spanish graphic novel movement, that received several awards and has been translated into six languages.
War Paints (2017), his next vast work, was awarded in 2018 with the Best Work by a Spanish Author at the Comic Fair in Barcelona.
