Jone, batzuetan (Jone, a veces)

Sara Fantova's debut film offers us an intimate and delicate portrait of identity formation and the father-daughter relationship at a time of change, a theme she already explored, in other terms, in her 2018 short film No me despertéis (Don't Wake Me Up).

Synopsis: The film narrates the coming of age of Jone, a young woman experiencing her first love while her father's Parkinson's disease unexpectedly accelerates. During Bilbao's Semana Grande festival, Jone will live between the feeling of immortality she experiences with Olga and her rejection of the particular way her father deals with his illness. These events make that summer the place where Jone discovers that the girl she is is transforming into the adult she is about to become. (Source: Atera Films).
