Experiments in Cinema: Soul Map of the Spanish Cinema of the Senses

Instituto Cervantes Albuquerque is participating in the 2024 edition of the Experiments in Cinema experimental film festival, which will be held from April 23 to 27 in Albuquerque.

Our center is organizing together with the festival the activity entitled Soul Map of the Spanish Cimea of the Senses, which includes the screening of eight short films participating in the (S8) Mostra Internacional de Cinema Periférico de A Coruña (Spain). 

The event will count with the presence in Albuquerque of the founder and co-director of this Spanish experimental film festival dedicated to the Super 8 format, Ángel Rueda.

This program invites us on an expedition through the work of a new generation of filmmakers in Spain who explore the sensory relationship between their souls and the soul of their films. The intentional use of the photochemical medium traces a path where emotions, sensations and moods configure a journey. A map that begins on the screen and leads us to the inner soul of those who created the films.
