El ángel de Budapest

Originally created as a television mini-series, Luis Oliveros' biopic focuses on Ángel Sanz Briz, a Spanish ambassador in Hungary during World War II who helped save the lives of thousands of Jews by lodging them in Spanish safe houses in Budapest.  Sanz Briz continued his diplomatic career after the war; in 1994, the Hungarian government awarded him the Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Hungary.  The film was shot on location in Budapest.  Spanish with English subtitles.
