Diego Amador Trio
The Performing Arts of Spain Series, a partnership between Instituto Cervantes, National Institute of Flamenco and the National Hispanic Cultural Center, brings Diego Amador Trio from the cradle of Andalusian flamenco, to the NHCC’s Albuquerque Journal Theatre, Roy E. Disney Center for Performing Arts, on Saturday, Born in Seville, Diego Amador is the youngest member of a legendary flamenco group headed by Rafael and Raimundo Amador. He began his career as a self-taught drummer in the mid-1980, and started performing extensively in the age of 11, playing the drums for the group Pata Negra and also beginning to play keyboard and other instruments. Today, he is a pianist, guitarist, drummer, composer, recording artist, and producer, and has worked with renowned artists Tickets are $60-$20 with a $5 discount for students, seniors, and NHCC members, and can be purchased at the NHCC box office, at 505 – 724 – 4771, or through the Center’s website at www.nhccnm.org.
