Baila España 2022. Cinedance Exhibition

In the framework of the eleventh edition of the Baila España festival that Instituto Cervantes celebrates in Germany, we present a new exhibition of short dance films that this year is organized in two cycles: «Cuerp@s mediad@s», curated by Samuel Retortillo, director of the International Festival of Dance and New Media (FIVER), and «Materia Bosque», also presented by FIVER and curated by Isabel Ferreira and Eduardo Bonito, thanks to the Laboratory for Living Arts and Forest Culture (LABEA) and in collaboration with the Bunka Foundation / RCR Arquitectes.  

«Cuerp@s mediad@s», which can be seen on our Vimeo channel from October 7 to 13, consists of four works by Ibero-American creators that deal with animation, audiovisual performance, dance or choreographic documentary tools. In these shorts, bodies function as transmitting structures and narrative bases from their diverse forms, areas and genres to conform works and bodies mediated by the camera, the screen and the audiovisual language.  

From October 14 to 21 we can enjoy the second part of the exhibition «Materia Bosque»: an exhibition program of short films by Ibero-American filmmakers that seeks to celebrate the poetic force of trees, which, in these times of ecosocial transition, have become inspiring symbols of regeneration, with which we can learn to inhabit, and care for, the world.
