International Voices Project (IVP). 16th Annual Festival of Contemporary Plays

IVP brings global voices to Chicago stages through commissions, translations, and productions. We collaborate with consulates, cultural organizations, universities, and arts partners throughout Chicagoland, while working with theatres and cultural institutions nationally and internationally to champion global playwrights and bring their work to wider audiences.

A GLOBAL CITY DEMANDS GLOBAL ART.

From its earliest days, Chicago has been a gateway to the world through trade, transportation, and cultural exchange. That legacy continues today as Chicago builds and defines its place as a truly global city — in business, in trade, and in the arts.

We believe the International Voices Project is part of that future: creating opportunities for conversation, connection, and collaboration among diverse voices from Chicago and around the world.
