marianela castroEvent in Spanish and in English with simultaneous translation system. Previous registration is required. This activity is part of the series of events offered by the Instituto Cervantes Sydney to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Institution in Australia. Cervantes Institute is pleased to offer you the conference "Everything gets better - How to achieve positive changes through Social Media" with the participation of the writer and one of the creators of a Not-for-profit with the aim of supporting the LGTB community "ItgetsbetterPeru", Marianela de Castro. Marianella Castro became famous in Peru for her blog Finding Tea, whose stories were then translated into an online micro-series about love adventures and misadventures. His fame crossed borders and his sense of humor reinforced the message that love between people of the same sex is equal to the one felt by heterosexuals; this message was also quickly spread to other countries of Latin America and Spain. Marianella will explain to us, through her personal history and her relationship with Ana Claudia, with whom she created the Not-for-profit "ItgetsbetterPeru", which is part of the ItGetsbetterProject network, how you can make use of digital media to be able to distribute and promote information that may lead to support and empowerment spaces and positive changes in today's society. This Conference opens the tenth anniversary of the Cervantes Institute in Sydney, where a wide variety of activities and events of different themes will be offered and in relation to the dissemination of culture and language in Spanish. After the event we will offer a cocktail to attendees.
