Vega Sicilia's Rioja: A Vertical Testing of Macán

Mácan is Vega Sicilia’s foray into Rioja. After years of research, they decided to establish in the area of San Vicente de la Sonsierra, in a partnership with Bordeaux’s Benjamin de Rothschild. Macán owns 250 acres of vineyards divided in 170 plots located in both Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa. They only produce two wines, Macán Clásico and the flagship Macán, made 100% with Tempranillo. The first vintage was 1999. This seminar offers rare vertical tasting of Macán.
