The Winterlings

Dolores and Saladina are two sisters at the heart of the novel The Winterlings. They are completely different from each other but are joined by the obstacles they have had to face. They remember discovering the ocean the day they boarded a boat to England with other children just as lost as they were. Now they return to their grandfather’s house which they fled during their childhood at the time of the Civil War. This novel hides and reveals secrets with a prose that is charged with emotion.
