Specific objectives: Identify stories, scenes, characters and dialogues of the own biography that can be object of story. Know the details of a good autobiographical story: the hypothesis, the portraits of characters, honesty as a narrative requirement, the universal particularity, the value of images and descriptions, tools to narrate the discourse. Find and work the narrative voice in the first person. Narrate below the surface to make sense of the story, the reasons behind the events and actions of the characters.

Description: Each week a dossier of readings is uploaded and a task is carried out that is delivered corrected the following week. The Chat, where the texts and their corrections are discussed, is collective and once a week. Each task seeks to promote an important aspect of autobiographical writing.

Teacher: Pepa Valenzuela (journalist, writer and columnist) She is a correspondent for the El Mercurio magazines from New York, a master of creative writing in Spanish at NYU and teaches Spanish at the University of New York. She was a narrative professor for 8 years at the Universidad Diego Portales. He worked in the Contact Zone of El Mercurio newspaper and has written in leading magazines such as Fibra, Caras, Paula, Ya, Sábado, Domingo, as well as the newspapers La Nación Domingo and Las Últimas Noticias. She is the author of the autobiographical books A Place on Earth (El Mercurio Aguilar, 2013) and Papito Corazón (Ediciones B). She currently works on two non-fiction books.
