In the show Suite Española, acclaimed pianist Rosa Torres-Pardo performs beloved Spanish classics including compositions by Granados, Albéniz and Falla, accompanied by flamenco singer Rocío Márquez. Rosa Torres-Pardo (Madrid) received a special graduation award from the Royal High Conservatory of Music of Madrid. She studied with Joaquín Soriano and Gloria Olalla, with María Curcio in London, at the Juilliard School in New York and with Hans Graff in Vienna. She obtained the Masterplayers Prize in Lugano -Switzerland- and made a very successful debut at the Royal Theatre in Madrid, playing Prokofiev. She has worked with great orchestras, such as the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl and the London Royal Philarmonic, and with conductors such as V. Spivakov, Ch. Dutoit, J. Fournet, T. Vásáry and Y. Termikanov, at halls that include Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully Hall in New York, the Kennedy Center in Washington. She has also performed with Plácido Domingo in the United States and has given concerts and recitals in Spain with the best orchestras in the country. Rocío Márquez is an specialist in 'cante flamenco' and she received a grant from the Cristina Heeren Foundation in Seville.
