Rendevouz with Cinema. ”Atraco a las tres”
The virtual film club “Rendevouz with Cinema” starts its 2024 program with the comedy Atraco a las tres, by José María Forqué.
This masterpiece of Spanish cinema, whose cast of actors shines from the first scene, parodies the classic film noir of robberies that was so successful in North American and Italian cinema.
The director, José María Forqué, shows, once again, his mastery in directing actors and his deep knowledge of the noir genre to construct this film, which combines black humor with social criticism shaped by the parameters of the time.
Synopsis: Galindo, an unhappy daydreamer, works as a bank teller. One day he gathers a group of colleagues and proposes a robbery in the branch where they all work. Galindo convinces them of the viability of the robbery, which they prepare meticulously.
The activity is moderated by staff from Instituto Cervantes and includes the participation of specialists linked to the production (directors, screenwriters ... .). Enjoy cinema in Spanish!
