On Being the Eyes of the World: The invention of Modern Photojournalism

On Being the Eyes of the World: The invention of Modern Photojournalism desconocido

In the 1930s, photographers Robert Capa and Gerda Taro risked their lives to capture images from the front lines of the Spanish Civil War.  These images were published in magazines and shown in newsreels around the world, giving those at home a new view on the war and creating a new genre of photojournalism. Today, images of war continue to bring a connection to a conflict and people that viewers would not have otherwise. Join us to discuss the importance of their work!
