Montsalvatge: Between Europe and the Americas

As a preview to the concert in tribute of Xavier Montsalvatge’s music, which will be presented in the Morgan Library on September 28, participants will discuss the role of Europe and America in his music, which reveals echoes, on the one hand, of Ravel and other French composers and, on the other, his so-called “Antillanist” aesthetic and the influence of jazz.
