Jose Marti and Spanish painting of the 19th century

His deep appreciation of 19th century Spanish painting is reflected in many of the chronicles he published in New York. Jorge Capote is emeritus professor at the University of Cantabria. Born in Cuba, he studied engineering at the Universities of Havana and Prague. He has been involved in various studies and presentations on the links between José Martí and Spain.
