Hispanism in concrete: Félix Candela's Intercontinental Architecture desconocido

The architect Felix Candela,  from Madrid (Spain),  is fundamental to understand the architectural interinfluences on both sides of the Atlantic sea and is an fundamental figures of 20th century architecture in terms of the development of new structural forms. Candela's work rethinks the role of the architect in relation to the structural problems of architecture from three premises: economy, simplicity of calculation and flexibility. However, the quality of his work lies in the sensitivity to project spaces, so he was called a structural architect. Candela underwent a deep professional and creative transformation, upon arriving in the USA. that encouraged him to give up his engineering work and concentrate more and more on architecture and to conclude that: "Every work of art is an interpretation of the world, of what you are contemplating, a determination of perception that creates and tries a different world In the end, a work of art is nothing but an offering to art.
