TAFFNY 2025. The Americas Film Festival of New York
The 12th edition of the New York Festival of the Americas will take place from June 12 to 20, 2025, featuring a program that includes fiction films, documentaries, new media works, and educational activities. All screenings are free, open to the public, and subtitled in English when applicable. The festival stands out for its focus on diversity, emerging cinema, and cultural exchange.
The Instituto Cervantes in New York will host three days of screenings:
- June 12: Becoming Vera (USA, 2025), directed by Sergio Vizuete.
- June 13: A short film program followed by final projects from the MFA Film Program at City College.
- June 19: Casa diversa (Spain–Paraguay, 2024), by Carmen Vidal, and Querido trópico (Panama–Colombia), by Ana Endara.
