Fernando Rielo World Prize for Mystical Poetry

The Fernando Rielo Foundation is an international cultural entity established in 1982 by the Spanish poet and thinker, Fernando Rielo. The activities of this Foundation aim at the worldwide promotion of culture and the arts and, in particular, mystical poetry, together with the encounter of the different cultures and traditions. In 1996 the Fernando Rielo Chair of Spanish Literature and Thought was created at the University of the Philippines to promote the Hispanic culture. In 2013 the Fernando Rielo Chair was created at the Pontifical University of Salamanca. Currently the Foundation has 53 delegations worldwide. One of its most important initiatives is the World Prize for Mystical Poetry, which has been awarded every year since 1981. The recognition reached by this Prize is manifested by the prestigious places where it has been awarded: The United Nations in New York, the French Senate, the UNESCO in Paris, the City Hall of Rome, the City Hall of Cologne, the Prado Museum, the Embassy of Spain before the Holy See.
